    I have the exact same issue with a 1994 civic. I've had the injectors taken off and tested three times and they say they are fine. The car is just pouring white smoke and wreaks of gas. it has a tiny missfire as well. Should I test the injectors again?

    Came in for pretty obvious sounding wheel bearing. You swapped both calipers both rotors and the already new pads. We can see the shiney new hub the rotor is now sitting on. Way to just throw parts at it. Lie to us.. lie to customer. Way to go

    My 2009 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon has the ABS, traction control, and ESP BAS lights on. Hooking a computer up to it it throws a code for the rear right wheel speed sensor. I had that sensor replaced and those 3 lights are still on. When I turn the vehicle on the lights are on. When I put it in drive and take off they go away. Until those lights come back on I can feel there’s an issue with braking in the pedal itself and sometimes I can feel the vehicle braking while either accelerating, just driving, or taking corners. After a little while those 3 lights come back on and it drives just fine, no more braking. Clearing the codes it throws one back as the rear right wheel speed sensor. What’s the deal?

    Nice to test if the relay is out, but that's all this offers and you can easily swap the relay with something else (on my 1995 K1500, the brake light relay is identical and can be swapped to test). My clutch still didn't kick in. I went through a lot of trouble, but for others, my AC pressure switch went out. I understand these tend to fail frequently. Mine was on the accumulator and has a valve that prevents losing refrigerant when it's unscrewed. 10 minutes to the store, 2 minutes to unscrew the old and screw in the new. $20 or so. You can test it by unplugging it and jumping the connector's positive and negative sides with a paperclip. If your AC clutch starts kicking in when you have it running and AC on, there's the issue.

    Never figured out why they quit making the little FJ. Everyone seemed to love them. Money for Toyota no doubt. My Genesis is finally trying to start trouble. A/C won’t come on. Can drive 100 miles nothing. But one time goose it a little up to around 4000 rpm it kicks on and works great. Figure the clutch needs adjusting or replacement. Get around to it some day. I’m an HVAC contractor for 35 years. Lol. Like the mechanic with the white powder battery cables. Tell everyone else to fix it. On mine not so important. Have a nice cool weekend.

    Hi, I need make a consultation with you or hopefully one of your viewers can give me an advice on situation I have with my car. The old condenser was broken from the sides and a line was too. I did order a new one online, everything looks just like the original. The issue is that when I tried to connect the lines to the condenser they don’t fit in. The 2 holes on the ports are a little too tight or narrow, the line tip doesn’t go in all the way. So my question is, should I return and order a new one? Or will it work if I kind drill in the holes in some way to make them a millimeter wider? Or will that cause leaks after? I really appreciate your help and time in advance. Thank you.

      @@AutoRepairTips757 okay thank you very much for your help. Just placed a new order hopefully this will be better. Taking advantage of your time and expertise, Im installing the whole ac system in to my 95 civic. I got all the parts from a donor car same year. Of course being a DIYer I didn’t pay attention and spilled a lot of the oil from the compressor, so what I did completely emptied it and all the lines too. How much oil or lubricant do I add to it now? I’ve read somewhere people say 4oz are enough, other say 8oz. And where do I pour it? Just inside the compressor or do I put it in any other components?? Thank you.

    Thanks, I have a 2011 Buick enclave. I bought it at auction in April. It took the state a month to get back with title. So now I have tag, title, insurance. And have thoroughly enjoyed prowling around the neighborhood late night to get a feel for it. So, the problem. The what appears to be usual abs light. So, I have not gotten around to figuring which wheel the error is coming from. Back to the low idle. I was coming back from an event on the highway, on exiting back to city streets. A wide gentle curve from exit to city street and at the absolute worst possible time the engine died and the pig nearly coasted into a lane of cars waiting at the light. I quickly threw it into neutral and hit the key, it started up with a brake light I had not seen before on the dash. Got back to the house off loaded some groceries and took a well deserved whizz. Started the Buick back up again. No brake light. I think I got off extremely light. Anyway, I moved that hose out the throttle body and mass air flow sensor thing up from "around to it" to first thing in the morning before it gets hot out. I think I am about due for a cheap OBDII reader to arrive tomorrow as well. Added to the mix, I had dumped a jug of crc catalytic converter cleaner on top of a quarter tank, did the obligatory 15 miles of normal driving. Filled up and went to the event, stopped at a store and got a bag of late night stuff. Hit the road and had the Buick jump up and shout boo at me. I am interested in what I will find with an OBDII code reader.

    Someone’s put spacers on that hub .. that drive shaft will fail again … you put spacers on vehicles you widen that track out of factory specs … you didn’t even notice that … you never really explained at all why it failed ..it’s those wheel spacers ,. Those things are illegal here in Australia

    • @AutoRepairTips757
      @AutoRepairTips757 9 днів тому

      They are legal where we live, my guess would be the axle was worn because the excessive miles we see that a lot around here. I haven’t come across one yet that has spacers, and the axles went out because of the spacers. But I guess anything is possible.

I've taken it to the dealership and after 4 hours, they didn't find anything wrong with it. It's gotten to the part where I'm having rough transition when I'm accelerating and there's a delay. At this point I'm losing my mind trying to pin point what the hell is going on and after talking to the dealership they said it probably internal and they recommend me bringing it in another time. What do you suggest I do? The codes are P0014, P0011, P0017

    I just watched Scotty Kilmer spray a bunch of throttle cleaner into his throttle. Right before you said not to spray any cleaner into the throttle body

      If you spray a bunch of cleaner in your intake with the vehicle, not running you could cause damage. I’ve seen it happen. Also with the key off, you can open the butterfly. I’ve never had an issue, but you never know.

      @@AutoRepairTips757 and I had just sprayed a little bit here and there to clean, not spray loads of cleaner at a time. Thankfully I didn't notice any issues.

    You better make sure the guy you are buying your brake parts from knows what the hell he is doing otherwise you could end up with installing a bad brake part on your car.

      @@mariaoh7171 clean it without opening the throttle. Never open the throttle like he’s doing it. A electronic throttle is calibrated and be damaged easily
